Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston is the youngest of four children born in Newark, New Jersey on August 9, 1963. Her parents are gospel vocalists Cissy Houston - n e Emily Lee Drinkard - and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick was also famous for her singing. The mother of Whitney and Whitney began singing professionally in the church of New Hope Baptist in Newark in the year Whitney was just fifteen years old. They performed backing vocals for Chaka Kans' hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. The singer went on to sing backing vocals for Lou Rawls Jermaine Jackson and her own mother. She also was briefly a model appearing on the front cover of Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. The quality of her work as the vocalist featured in New York funk group Material attracted the attention of several big record labels like Arista who she signed her contract in 1982 and was with them throughout the course of career. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut record by a young artist in 1985. Three singles, Saving All My Love To You, How Can I Tell That You're Giving Love Good and the Greatest Love of All came from this album. These songs helped Houston to achieve a record seven US top tens which beat even The Beatles. The album sold US 3 million copies, and later increased to 25,000,000 copies world-wide. The album was her first win in the six Grammys she has won. Whitney was her first album. Whitney, released in 1987, and featuring the hit tracks Where Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, continued her earlier success. However it came with The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as the top selling album in music. Although the film and the performances of the actress were not much praised, her soundtrack album with her version of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was the top-selling single for many months. The album sold over 44 million copies across the globe. Also in 1993 when she got married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition artist and father of the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. At this point the drug use became well documented and she was able to use it regularly in 1996.

Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchorperson, reporter and political correspondent. Also, she's produced a few of CNN's weekends shows which include Evans & Novak Late Edition'and Inside Politics. NBC as well CBS were her former employers. Bash's awards and recognitions include her inclusion on Elle magazine's Women in Washington Power List. Her amazing anchoring and reporting skills are highly admired and appreciated by a variety of journalists. Additionally, she is a loving mom to her son even though she graduated from George Washington University. Her marriages have been two and currently she's dating a man. Bash who is a determined and independent woman, loves her followers with all of her heart.
