April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star American She is one of a small category of females who have received medals from multiple Olympics. She will be competing in Tokyo for her third Olympic medal alongside Alix Klineman. She is a one time Olympian. Ross's objective is her first Olympic gold medal. As she turns 39, it could be her last chances to secure the Olympic gold. She is nevertheless confident that the top awards are on the horizon. If we can perform to our highest and even perform really well, I believe we can get that gold medal Ross said via NBC Boston. This is why I'm going to try an extra bit of luck and hope for the best. Ross born in 1982 and was raised within Costa Mesa California with her sisters and parents, was the first to begin taking part in athletics in Newport Harbor High School. While at Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many activities. As a student-athlete she was also a participant in indoor track and volleyball. In the last sport she was clearly the standout. As a time at the high school level as per her college profile, she played the roles of an outside blocker, middle blocker setter and hitter. In recognition of her work, she was honored as the 1999 Gatorade The Circle of Champions' National Player of Year. The award also went to her in 2000. Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Though Ross and Klineman are a couple since 2017, the former was already an established star on the beach even before the pair formed. In fact, she won numerous major events with two other partners, one that is also a volleyball icon. From 2007 to 2013, she was partnered with Jennifer Kessy, who is now her coach. Along together with Kessy Ross, the duo won the World Championship in 2009, while racing on the international circuit. They were awarded a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty Maytreanor's famous team and Kerri Jennings took home the gold. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. In 2016, the pair took bronze at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross played for the Trojans from USC during college years after she graduated the high school she attended. The time she spent at USC was one to remember. While a freshman in the year 2000 she fought her way to Pac-10 as well as NCAA freshman of the year recognition and earned an All-American. She also helped the Trojans advance to in the Final Four. In her sophomore season, she experienced a terrible personal loss and still was recognized as an All-American. In her two final years as a member of the Trojans the team, she played a key role in helping achieve consecutive championships. As an individual, she established herself as a legendary player by winning the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the nation's top female collegiate volleyball player. Ross studied foreign relations and international affairs at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the opportunity to witness her daughter become an international beach volleyball star. Margie, Ross's mother, passed away in 2001 when Ross was still an USC sophomore. The cancer was diagnosed as breast. She continues to cherish the memory of her parent. Margie remains an inspiration at the beach and all throughout her life.
